FAQs

How can you help me?
We can represent you and mitigate for you on cases in order to try to reduce the amount of penalty points /sentence imposed.

We can, in appropriate cases, argue that disqualifying you from driving could result in exceptional hardship.

We can, in certain cases, argue special reasons not to disqualify you exist in order to try to persuade the case not to disqualify you from driving at all or to reduce the level of a disqualification.
We can robustly defend those cases which are denied through to trial.

What is exceptional hardship?
This is where evidence is given to the Court usually by you on oath and with the provision of additional supporting evidence to show that you and / or others would be caused exceptional hardship should you lose your licence.

This has to be over and above the ordinary natural inconvenience.

We will arrange an appointment to speak to you prior to the court hearing as part of our costs package where possible.

What are special reasons?
These are extenuating or mitigating circumstances not amounting to a defence but which ought to properly be taken into consideration by the Court when passing sentence. These circumstances must relate to the offence not the offender.
Examples would include driving in the case of an emergency, spiked or laced drinks or shortness of distance driven.
